It forms part of the wider International Knowledge Hub within Impact Insights Hub, providing practical insight for providers, policymakers, researchers, health systems and community care leaders interested in how countries are responding to demographic change and increasing long-term care needs.

Thailand has developed an increasingly important home- and community-based approach to long-term care, supported by local services, health infrastructure, community caregivers and families. As this section develops, articles will examine universal health coverage and long-term care, local government, care management, home and community support, residential care, rural and urban aging, dementia, complex needs, prevention, quality assurance, digital technology and integrated care.

The Knowledge Hub will also explore the wider international relevance of Thailand's experience. Its combination of universal health coverage, community-based provision, family caregiving and developing formal long-term care infrastructure provides useful insight into the opportunities and pressures facing countries seeking to support aging populations while maintaining accessibility, sustainability and independence.

New content will be added progressively across the Thailand series, creating a growing English-language resource on the country's long-term care and community support system and the lessons its development may offer other aging societies.
