Impact Guru, Shopify and Online Purchases
Selected Impact Insights commercial products are purchased through the Impact Guru UK Shopify store operated by Impact Guru Ltd.
When you make a purchase or manage a recurring subscription through that store, information necessary to process and administer the transaction may be processed through Shopify and relevant payment providers.
This may include customer information, billing details, order information, subscription information, transaction records and technical information associated with the purchase.
Impact Guru Ltd does not need to receive or store complete payment-card details where those details are processed securely by the relevant payment provider.
Recurring sponsorship subscriptions may generate information relating to subscription status, renewal dates, successful or unsuccessful payments, cancellations, pauses, resumptions and other subscription-management activity.
This information may be processed where necessary to administer the subscription and determine whether an exclusive Impact Insights sponsorship position remains active and reserved.
Impact Insights USA Purchases
Purchasing an Impact Insights product through the Impact Guru UK store does not change the selected destination of the product.
Where the relevant product option identifies Impact Insights USA, the sponsorship placement, commissioned article or other applicable digital fulfilment is delivered through Impact Insights while the commercial transaction is administered by Impact Guru Ltd.
This shared purchasing structure allows Impact Insights and Impact Guru to use one ecommerce and subscription environment rather than requiring customers to use separate checkout systems.

Commercial Inquiries
When an organization contacts Impact Insights regarding sponsorship, commissioned content, partnerships or other professional opportunities, information supplied may be retained where reasonably necessary to evaluate the inquiry, communicate with the organization and manage any resulting commercial relationship.

International Data Processing and Transfers
Impact Insights serves a primarily U.S. professional audience while Impact Guru Ltd is established in the United Kingdom.
Information associated with Impact Insights may therefore be processed across international boundaries.
In addition, technology, ecommerce, payment, analytics and other service providers may process information in the United States, United Kingdom or other countries.
Where applicable data protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer of personal information, Impact Guru Ltd seeks to rely on an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism or other protection recognized under the applicable law.

Data Security
Reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures are used to protect personal information against unauthorized access, accidental loss, misuse, alteration or inappropriate disclosure.
Established third-party platforms and payment infrastructure are used for functions such as ecommerce and payment processing rather than unnecessarily collecting sensitive payment information directly.
However, no internet transmission, website or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Data Retention
Personal information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and for subsequent legitimate, contractual or legal requirements.
The appropriate retention period depends on the nature of the information and why it is held.
Transaction, contractual, billing and accounting information may need to be retained for longer periods to meet legal, tax, financial or record-keeping requirements.
Correspondence, sponsorship information, commissioned-content information and professional relationship records may be retained for an appropriate period where reasonably necessary to administer the relationship, resolve inquiries, maintain records or establish, exercise or defend legal rights.
Information that is no longer reasonably required will be deleted, anonymized or otherwise securely disposed of where appropriate.
