Vietnam's rapidly aging population is increasing the importance of long-term care, community support and sustainable approaches to healthy aging. Longer lives, changing family structures, urbanization, migration and continued reliance on family caregiving are creating important questions for health and social services, communities, providers and policymakers. The first collection within this Knowledge Hub explores Vietnam Aging, Long-Term Care & Community Support, with additional specialist collections considered as the library develops.

This Knowledge Hub examines Vietnam's evolving approach to aging, long-term care, home and community-based support, family caregiving, disability, financing, workforce development and care quality. It forms part of the wider International Knowledge Hub within Impact Insights Hub, providing practical insight for providers, policymakers, researchers, health systems and community care leaders examining how countries are adapting to population aging and changing care needs.

Articles will explore demographic change, aging at home, community-based support, residential care, dementia, disability, rehabilitation, workforce capacity, rural and urban access, safeguarding, financing, quality assurance, digital and assistive technology, integrated care and long-term care reform. Particular attention will be given to Vietnam's reliance on families, changing household structures and the challenge of developing sustainable formal services alongside existing family and community support.

The series will also examine how Vietnam might strengthen workforce capacity, quality and accountability, support family caregivers and develop sustainable approaches to financing and service delivery. International experience will be considered where relevant without assuming that models developed elsewhere can simply be transferred into Vietnam's distinct social, economic and cultural context.

As the library grows, it will provide an increasingly substantial English-language resource examining how Vietnam is responding to population aging and developing the long-term care, community support and social care infrastructure required for the decades ahead.
